NICK TROUBETZKOY
the man behind jade mountain

Jade Mountain Estates is being fully conceptualized and developed by the owner/designer of world famous Anse Chastanet & Jade Mountain resorts, Nick Troubetzkoy. Mr. Troubetzkoy is a Russian-Canadian architect hailing from the west coast of British Columbia. Early in his career after studying at the University of British Columbia, Troubetzkoy worked with a number of notable west coast architects to include Ron Thom, Bud Wood and Arthur Erickson. In the early 70s he was offered an opportunity to come to Saint Lucia to work with a group of architects designing vacation villas on the island. What was meant to be a brief stint in paradise for Troubetzkoy turned into a lifelong passion for the island and its people.

When an opportunity arose to purchase Anse Chastanet together with partners, Troubetzkoy did not hesitate and became the Managing Director. Revolutionary thinking runs in Troubetzkoy’s Russian veins, and from the outset he was determined to revolutionize conventional thinking as to what a hotel room should look like and to dispel the traditional practice of having each room a cookie cutter duplicate of the next.

Troubetzkoy’s love for large open spaces built in harmony with nature was first realized in his redesign of Anse Chastanet and then reached a new level of sophistication in his creation of Jade Mountain.

Jade Mountain is Troubetzkoy’s unique declaration of love for Saint Lucia’s stunning beauty. His artistic creativity is seen in every corner and at every turn. He personally oversaw every aspect of the project and continues to do so as Jade Mountain Estates becomes a reality.
